Returning to the ship, Georg Forster says that his attention and that of his companions is attracted by a group of natives located on a rocky hill. One of them lets out a scream.

As we were returning home,we heard a loud hallooing on the rocky point of an island, which on this occasion obtained the name of Indian Island ; and standing in to the shore, we perceived one of the natives, from whom this noise proceeded.
