Title
The bagpiper playing for the king
Short description
Georg Forster describes a reconciliation meeting between Captains Cook and Furneaux and the king. The bagpiper plays at the king's request.
Text on source
At the king's desire, the bagpiper was ordered to play before him, and his performance produced an effect similar to that of David's harp, whose harmonious sounds soothed the atrabilarious temper of Saul.
