Title
Seabird screams at Easter Island
Short description
Georg Forster describes the sounds made by seabirds during anchoring operations on Easter Island.
Text on source
Two detached rocks lay about a quarter of a miles off this point; one of them was singular on account of its shape, resembling a huge column or obelisk, and both were the habitations of numerous sea-fowls, which stunned our ears with their discordant screams.
