ولقد كانوا يعجبون من رمي البنادق غاية العجب وأحسب فيما ظهر لي أنهم يعتقدون أن صاحب البندق إذا رمى يتمكن من متابعة الرمي من غير انقطاع ولا تخلل وقت بين كل رميتين
English translation
For the nomads were utterly (ghāya) astonished at the firing of the muskets (banādiḳ) and, from what seemed to me, I think that they firmly believed that the marksman, when he had shot, was able to continue shooting without interruption and that no time passed between each of the two shots.
