Short description
During a military expedition, the Songhanians obtain for the first time the kakaki from Agades in the region of Ayar. According to Gomez (2018), the Askia attacked this town at 860 km from Gao as part of his imperial imagination for Hausaland.

English translation
During the year 906 [July 28, 1500 - July 16, 1501], he made an expedition against Tildza in Ayar [Agadez?], and got the kakaki there, while they didn't have it before.

Observations on the events description
The kakaki is considered to have been predominant with Songhay cavalry and is widespread in the whole area of what was the Songhay Empire and beyond.
