Si gridava fra noi onde non smarrirsi né allontanarsi l'uno dall'altro, ch'io si difettoso d'udito nell'occuparmi per quanto mi riguardava, non sapeva a bella prima distinguere ciò che desse motivo a tale confusione, aumentata dai mulattieri che avevan trovato di che dire fra loro, essendosi anche azzuffati pel collo con grida ed urli.
