وولّاها جنكي عبد الله ابن ابي بكر المقتول في اوّل يوم من المحرم الحرام فاتح عام الرابع والاربعين والالف ومكث فيها ثماني سنين غير شهرين وتوفّق صبيحة يوم الفطر يوم الجمعة احد شهور عام الحادي والخمسين والالف وصلّي عليه في المصلّى [ص. ١٦٣-١٦٤]
English translation
He was succeeded by Jenne-koi ʿAbd Allāh, son of the slain [former Jenne-koi] Abī Bakr, on 1 Muharram 1044 / 27 June 1634. He held office for seven years and ten months and died on the morning of ʿĪd al-Fiṭr, Friday [1 Shawwal] 1051 / 3 January 1642, and the funeral prayer was said for him at the public prayer-ground.

Observations on the events description
Funerals were not always held in the public space. This might have been the case because of the role of the deceased and possibly the coincidence with the feast [ʿĪd].
