Il quale, volendo ordinare le manovre e chiamare a basso qualche marinaro, urlava servendosi della tromba marina, ma non era inteso, perchè il muggito delle onde, ed il fischiare del vento nelle corde non lasciava capir nulla: intanto il pericolo aumentava, e noi ci vedevamo esposti a vedere bastimento a rompersi sulle secche, essendo ormai vicinissimi a terra.
