Ho avuto occasione di vedere parecchi individui del Darfur: essi sono vivaci e parlatori. Molti hanno la smania del pellegrinaggio alla Mecca, e chiamansi Tocruri cioè pellegrini, e compiono questo villaggio a piedi, cantando canzoni al suono di un tamburino per accattare elemosina.
