I Nubah, quando accompagnavano il Re, precedevano il cavallo, facendo vari movimenti che si possono assomigliare alla danza de' Coribanti. Saltellavano, alzando ora una, ora l'altra gamba, brandendo la lancia, battendola sullo scudo, e mettendo un ginocchio a terra facevano vari gesti militari accompagnati da certi loro gridi.
